Case study: snowe home

From Costly In-House Fulfillment to a Seamless 3PL Transition

Snowe Home needed to cut fulfillment costs fast without sacrificing their high-touch customer experience—right in the middle of Q4 peak season. Highline Commerce stepped in with a custom transition plan, added shifts to prevent disruption, and uncovered creative cost savings. The smooth switch not only preserved service quality but also led Snowe’s parent company to move four more brands to Highline, cementing a trusted, long-term partnership.

The challenge

When Snowe Home reached out to Highline Commerce, they were managing all fulfillment in-house. Operating their own warehouse and staffing team had become increasingly costly and inefficient—especially as customer demand fluctuated.

They needed to cut costs quickly, but they were also used to high-touch communication and a premium customer experience. To add to the challenge, they needed to make the transition to a new 3PL during Q4—peak season for any fulfillment operation.

The solution

Highline took on the onboarding during Q4 and built a custom plan to ensure success. This included launching a second shift and a weekend shift specifically to accommodate Snowe’s transition without disruption.

We worked side-by-side with Snowe’s management team throughout the process—maintaining clear communication and meeting their service expectations. We also helped identify creative cost savings, including bartering fulfillment services in exchange for their unneeded pallet racking to support operational efficiency on both sides.

The results

The transition was seamless, and the success of the Snowe partnership quickly led to more: the holding company behind Snowe has since moved four additional brands to Highline Commerce.

Now entering year three of the partnership, Snowe and the other brands have transitioned to Highline’s Atlanta facility to further reduce costs—while continuing to benefit from a trusted, high-performing relationship with our team.
