Meet the people powering your logistics

The origins of Highline

While working to grow his wife’s fashion line, Richard struggled to find an adequate fulfillment partner for the brand just beginning to expand outside of their small Brooklyn apartment. To even be considered by most third-party logistics providers, they were met with high monthly minimums, a long term commitment, rigid requirements, and significant distance from the warehouse itself. Rather than wait for an opportunity to present itself, Richard decided to create his own.

In January 2020, he founded Highline Commerce to solve the problems of his wife’s business and soon discovered that more brands struggled with the same problem. By focusing on local and early stage brands, and by creating an adaptable service specifically catered for their needs, Highline Commerce identified (and created a solution for) a crucial gap within the logistics landscape.

What began as a 200 sq ft possibility on the 6th floor of a 27th street Manhattan warehouse (found on Craigslist) has grown to multiple locations and serving over 100 businesses.

The beginning

Highline Commerce was born to serve the needs of early stage ecommerce startups based in NYC, starting with 200 sq ft at 510 West 27th Street in Manhattan.

May 2022

Move to Brooklyn

After slowly taking over 3 separate floors of the building on 27th Street over 2 years and truly running out of space to operate, Highline Commerce decided to move to an easily accessible location in Brooklyn and tripled the warehouse space.

April 2023

Pre-seed funding

After bootstrapping for 3 years, Richard and Morgan decided to raise a small friends and family round to continue growing and improving the operation.

First Alpha Design Tech Partnership

Highline Commerce first learned about Rabot in May 2023, and moved fast after chatting with their cofounder. They were thinking about fulfillment problems differently, and solving real-world problems.

september 2023

50% more space in Brooklyn

Despite not doing any outbound marketing or sales, demand remained strong - and the brands Highline had taken on needed more space.

september 2024

Atlanta, GA facility opens

Some of Highline’s core clients needed a south east fulfillment center, and this led to some of our largest customers and corporate clients to date. Morgan, our cofounder, moved from NYC to Atlanta at this time to run this location.

March 2025

First Humanoid Robot goes live

One of our alpha design partnerships led to a humanoid robot fulfilling 10-20% of our daily order volume almost overnight in Brooklyn. As the first users of this robot, we were (and are) blown away at the speed of innovation.

May 2025

Dayton, OH facility opens

The growth of some of Highline’s earliest customers (from 2020 and 2021) resulted in the need to expand to a more central, less expensive for storage location. This resulted in the opening of Dayton: the hometown of our founder, Richard.

FACILITIES

Our locations

Highline is steadily growing our network of facilities to keep pace with our clients’ needs. Each new location is chosen to streamline operations, cut transit times, and make scaling into new markets as seamless as possible.

Brooklyn, NY

Flagship
67 34th St Second Floor, Brooklyn, NY

Highline Commerce was originally based on 27th Street and 10th Avenue in Chelsea—the inspiration behind our name. Two years later, we relocated to Brooklyn and established our flagship space at Industry City, where we continue to grow with an open-door approach to supporting the brands we work with.

Atlanta, GA

3615 Francis Circle, Alpharetta GA

In September 2024, we opened our Atlanta location to support Brooklyn-based partners growing in the Southeast, with our co-founder Morgan leading the launch. Since then, this strategic hub has become a home base for both local and national clients, welcoming Atlanta’s own leading brands with the same open-door spirit as our New York offices.

Dayton, OH

1625 Fieldstone, Vandalia OH

In 2025, we opened the Dayton facility to give fast-growing brands a central hub for cost-efficient fulfillment. Many partners begin with us in Brooklyn and expand to Dayton once their logistics are streamlined, making this location a natural next step.
